個人簡介
曾芝瑞，副教授，博士生導師，2014年獲得美國德克薩斯農工大學博士學位，2015-2019年在斯坦福大學進行博士后研究，2019年入職南方科技大學海洋科學與工程系。研究領域為地球生物學、脂類生物學、微生物分子生物學。研究興趣是使用生物技術回答地球科學的問題，聚焦古菌特有的細胞膜脂類GDGTs（甘油二烷基甘油四醚）的生物合成機制研究。古菌GDGTs形成單分子層細胞膜，具備優(yōu)異的理化穩(wěn)定性，提升古菌在極端環(huán)境生存能力；它還是重要的生物標志物，被廣泛用于海洋環(huán)境歷史變化的研究。代表性研究成果包括首次發(fā)現(xiàn)并命名一系列古菌膜脂合成酶基因（Tes, Gms, GrsA/B, Cds,）, 揭示了古菌膜脂GDGTs的生物合成途徑，闡明GDGTs的生理功能，并為應用GDGTs指示海洋環(huán)境（溫度、缺氧）歷史變化奠定了理論基礎。主要研究方法包括古菌基因編輯技術，蛋白功能分析，有機地球化學脂類分析，生物信息學等。未來還將研究細菌特殊膜脂brGDGTs的生物合成機制，探索微生物脂類的生物學意義，以及拓展脂類生物標志物在地球科學和海洋科學的應用等。
